Lunar Nodes in Synastry

The Lunar Nodes are the axis of karmic intent; technically, they are two mathematically derived points in the Moon's orbit about Earth, exactly opposite to each other, that indicates where it must be located for eclipses to occur. The point that falls closest to the southern hemisphere, or South Node, reveals one's karmic starting place, the gifts, attitudes, and problems that one entered this lifetime with; in synastry, it likewise elucidates where a relationship was able to get to in previous incarnations and, therefore, where it is beginning in this one; the northernmost point, or North Node, on the other hand, reveals one's karmic destination in this lifetime, that is, what we want to accomplish to fulfill our purposes for incarnating specifically when, where and how we have; in synastry, again, it reveals the intent we have for each of our relationships.
