Descendant in Synastry

Sometimes called the Setting Sign, the Descendant is roughly equivalent to the Western Horizon at birth. This point describes the nature of how one projects outward the unowned parts of the Self by drawing in an Other to mirror these parts back; in synastry, it indicates the impact of each relational participant upon the other's awareness of relationship and the hidden sides of their own personalities.
